The Rock Casserole is a live, internet radio show, NOT A PODCAST! Hosted by ROK Records recording artist, and songwriter, Jeffrey Alan Dbury (Jeff Dbury) and wife Lizzie "Mother Metal" Dbury, and airs live, every Sunday, from 12 Noon - 5:00PM EST on Digital Revolution Radio www.digitalrevolutionradio.com. The Rock Casserole first aired on D.R.R. on August 14th, 2016, and has since become one of the most popular and funnest radio shows on the web today.
Unlike traditional FM and XM radio shows and stations, who just play the same songs over and over, each Rock Casserole show is different from the previous one, with different songs, and many times different artists. Jeff and Mother Metal's primary objective has always been, to give listeners an alternative to traditional radio. The Rock Casserole consists of a number of different segments, such as, "Artist In The Spotlight" interviews with some of the best independent, and even mainstream artists in the business today. Then there's the "Fresh Meat" Segment, debuting new, up and coming independent artists, as well as new songs by indie artists who are played regularly on the show.
One of the most popular segments on the show is the "Listener's Choice, Guest DJ" segment, where listeners, and even artists, choose a block of songs by any artist(s) of their choice, call into the show live, to briefly talk about their choices, and then spin the block of songs. "Pookie's Guilty Pleasures, Song Of The Day" is another segment that you simply have to hear to appreciate, but guaranteed to keep you laughing! Then there are monthly segments like "Project Metal, Across The Pond With Ell Yong" where music critic and now brother D.R.R. DJ, Ell Yong, from The U.K. comes on the show to introduce the world to some of the awesome independent artists, who's music he reviews on his blog page, "Project Metal."
Recently added to the show, is "The Rock Casserole Artists Hall Of Fame," where at least once a month or more, Jeff Dbury and Mother Metal induct two or more independent artists who are played on the show regularly, into their Hall Of Fame. Then there's "Mother Metal's Extreme Metal University" and "Around The World In 30" where Co Host Mother Metal (Lizzie Dbury) plays tracks, and talks about, some of the best Extreme Heavy Metal bands from all corners of the world. And in addition to all of this, there's the "Featured Artist Of The Day" where one independent artist or band is chosen to have their music featured through out the entire show, adding at least one of their tracks to each mixed block of mainstream and Indie songs that are played in between all of this!
